The getElementsByName() method is used to get the element by name. However be aware of the getElementsByName() method always return an array.

<!DOCTYPE html>
 <script type="text/javascript">
 function getElements(){
 var x=document.getElementsByName("x");
 for(var i=0;i<x.length;i++){
 Cats: <input name="x" type="radio" value="Cats" />
 Dogs: <input name="x" type="radio" value="Dogs" />
