Mysql Remote Access Permission to other system in your network (Ubuntu)

Step 1:

sudo gedit /etc/mysql/my.cnf

Comment Line Number 52 using #, Its like


#bind-address =

Step 2:

sudo service mysql restart

If it is not restarted, Please use start and stop command.

sudo service mysql stop

sudo service mysql start

Step 3: 

Run the Below mentioned query in the mysql to grant access.

GRANT ALL ON *.* TO root@’%’ IDENTIFIED BY ‘root’;

Step 4:

Access mysql in other system using your system IP .

Please use below mentioned command to find the mysql port no.

ps -ax|grep mysql
